Service (restricted & unrestricted)

 

Service Pistol is a faster paced match combining a variety of styles of pistol shooting at distances of 50 yards, 25 yards, 10 yards and 7 yards. Using a centre fire pistol (auto or revolver) and shooting two handed, the match consists of 90 shots at 4 targets. There are some slower sequences shooting from prone, sitting, right and left barricades to faster sequences like getting 6 shots off in 4 seconds. Both Service and Service Unrestricted have the same course of fire but different requirements as set out below

At 50 yards

24 shots in 165 seconds:-

6 prone

6 sitting

6 right barricade

6 left barricade

 

25 yards

6 right barricade 15 seconds

6 left barricade 15 seconds

6 right, reload, 6 left 35 secs

3 shots x 2 targets 6 secs

2 shots x 3 targets 6 secs

 

10 yards

6 shots in 4 seconds

6 shots in 8 seconds

(3 with right hand,3 with left hand)

3 shots x 2 targets in 4 secs

 

7 yards

6 shots, reload, 6 shots

All unsighted in 15 seconds

Service (restricted)

 

Use a holster

 

Bullets must meet power factor:-

 

speed (as measured by a chronograph)

x weight of projectile=minimum of 120,000)

 

Use the same ammunition for all 90 shots

 

Maximum weight of pistol is 1400 grams

 

Minimum trigger pull is 1360 grams

 

 

Service Unrestricted

 

No holster

No power factor

May change ammunition for the different distances

No maximum weight of pistol

Minimum trigger pull is 1360 grams
